Gloucester head coach Nigel Davies has confirmed Mike Tindall has signed a new one-year deal at the Kingsholm.
The England centre's future was uncertain after former coach Bryan Redpath decided the veteran back would not be offered a new deal at the club. With Redpath moving to Sale Sharks and Davies taking over at Gloucester, the Welshman has decided to extend Tindall's stay in a player/coach role. The newly-appointed coach is confident the 33-year-old centre can still bring plenty to the table at Kingsholm, as they push for the playoffs in the Aviva Premiership next term. He said: "Mike has a lot of valuable experience and great loyalty to Gloucester Rugby and its supporters and understands what it means to be a part of this club. "It's important to have people involved that underpin your culture and values as a playing group. "That investment can stretch beyond rugby performance - it's about harnessing the strength, commitment and drive from people that have an inherent loyalty and ambition for the team and business to succeed in the long-term."
