Ulster see off Edinburgh

Rugby Union, 11:23, January 16, 2010 ,

Ulster kept up their hopes of Heineken Cup quarter-final qualification with a 21-13 victory over Pool Four rivals Edinburgh on Friday.

Issac Boss and Darren Cave both scored tries while Ian Humphreys kicked eight points and Niall O'Connor added a penalty for the home side, who are still looking to progress in the competition.
Edinburgh replied with a Jim Thompson try and eight points from the boot of Chris Paterson but it was not enough as the race for qualification intensifies.
Pool leaders Stade Francais host already-eliminated Bath on Saturday and remain favourites to go through, while Ulster must beat Bath in their final group game next week and hope the French side slip up against Edinburgh for them to progress.
