Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny has admitted he does not feel like the southern hemisphere giants respect the Grand Slam winners.
The Welsh suffered a series whitewash Down Under this summer but could have just as easily come away with a 3-0 victory in the closely-fought encounters with the Wallabies. Wales were hoping to record their first win on Australian soil since 1969 but in all three games they were edged out by the Wallabies, who reacted well after losing to Scotland in Newcastle earlier this month. Halfpenny was a key player for the Welsh Down Under but believes that their performances were not respected by the Australians. as they failed to claim that crucial win. He said: "I don't think they respect us 100%. "I don't think you gain 100% respect in the southern hemisphere until you beat one of them and we haven't done that."
