Fly-half Andy Goode says Worcester Warriors' top target this season is to qualify for the Heineken Cup.
The Warriors are in the European Challenge Cup this year after a 10th-placed finish in the Premiership in 2011-12 but Goode says the plan is to improve upon that so they can mix it with Europe's elite next season. "This year's about trying to get into the Heineken Cup - everybody's doubling their effort, putting in more hours," he said. "When I signed for the club that was [the chairman's] vision. That has not changed." The former England international hopes he can help Worcester make history and qualify for the Heineken Cup for the first time and says the squad have been working hard over the summer to prepare themselves for the challenge ahead. "But to be part of the first team that brings Heineken Cup rugby here to Sixways would be fantastic," he added on BBC Hereford and Worcester. "The guys have been training really hard and we are just itching to play rugby now."
