Veteren Partick Thistle defender Alan Archibald says that he will make a decision on whether to retire at the end of next season.
The 34-year-old, who has made 400 appearances in two spells for the Jags, is already working towards his coaching badges and will be in charge of the reserves during the next campaign following his work with the Under-18s last term. Since injuring his cruciate ligament in 2008, the player has admitted he has started to contemplate retirement, but says any decision will be taken at the end of next season. "Since I did my cruciate I take it one season at a time. I'm trying to play as many games as I can, see what happens, then decide whether to hang up the boots. If I have to do that I have to do that. It happens to us all."
