Ross County boss Derek Adams' decision to cut short his holiday was rewarded after he was named First Division Manager of the Year.

The 36-year-old was enjoying his annual family vacation in the Algarve but decided to come home early as he believed his team had a chance of picking up one of the awards at Wednesday's ceremony following their promotion to the SPL.
It was a good night all round for the Staggies, with striker Colin McMenamin picking up the player of the year prize to go along with Adams' gong and they completed the clean sweep by also winning the team award.
Adams said: "I decided to come home early as I thought we would be in with a good chance of winning one of the Team Awards. To pick up three altogether and for Colin to win the top player honour has made it a fantastic night for Ross County."
