Cuthbert joins Hamilton

Hamilton Academical have confirmed the signing of former Ayr United goalkeeper Kevin Cuthbert on a one-year deal.

The 29-year-old began his career with St. Johnstone in 2001 and made over 100 appearances in seven seasons for the Perth outfit before moving to Morton. Cuthbert made the switch to Ayr last summer and was a stand-out performer as the Honest Men reached the Scottish Communities League Cup semi-finals. Despite his best efforts, Ayr were relegated to the Second Division at the end of last season. Hamilton secretary Scott Struthers said on Monday: "It is only now that everything is in place and we can confirm that Kevin is a Hamilton Accies player."
