Forsyth to miss Sons opener

Dumbarton defender Ross Forsyth will miss his side's Division One opener against Airdrie due to a groin injury.

The 29-year-old played in a bounce game last week against Arthurlie and has trained this week with Sons boss Alan Adamson saying: "Ross is getting closer all the time, however he is still a wee bit away from where he needs to be. He should be fine before the end of the month."
The former St Johnstone, Stirling Albion and Morton full-back only signed for the club this summer, so will be keen to return as soon as possible in a bid to make his debut for the club.
