Jags hand McGuigan permanent deal
Scottish Division 1,
Patrick Thistle have handed striker Mark McGuigan a deal for next season after a two month trial at Firhill.
The former Celtic youngster joined Jackie McNamara's men after impressing while playing in a friendly against them for Scottish Universities and he has since been training with the Glasgow club.
He has now completed his studies and the Jags have acted quickly to snap him up on a permanent basis ahead of next season.
"Mark has been excellent since he came in and he has shown he is a good all round player and not just a big target man," McNamara said. "He passes and moves really well and being an intelligent big guy helps."
"We had discussed a longer deal when he came in and we will be getting that sorted out soon," the coach added.
