Johnston eager to get underway

New Queen of the South boss Allan Johnston says he is excited about the new chapter in his career ahead of his first game in charge.
Johnston signed a one-year contract Palmerston Park on Friday and sees his side host champions Ross County for his managerial debut this afternoon. The former Hearts and Rangers midfielder, who has been promoted from a coaching role at the Dumfries club, says he wants to bring some entertainment back to the club. He told the Daily Record: "I am thrilled to be confirmed as the manager of such a great club and I can't wait get started. This is a fantastic opportunity for me with a club looking to progress in the right way. "There has been a bit of doom and gloom about recently and I want to bring the positivity back. "I want to play attacking football and I want the team to get out there on the pitch and score goals. I want people to leave our games wanting to come back because it has been enjoyable."
