Jackie McNamara has heaped praise on his side following their record-breaking 7-0 thrashing of Airdrie United on Saturday.
The win recorded Thistle's biggest-ever victory to send the Glasgow side back to the top of Division One, moving two points ahead of promotion rivals Dunfermline, and McNamara could not hide his delight at the final whistle. "First half I thought that we were excellent. We scored some good goals and we played some good football," McNamara told the club's official website. "I was delighted too with the attitude shown in the second half. When you are so far ahead you do wonder if they will take the foot off the gas but they were still working hard and looking sharp." The Thistle boss hailed a real team performance and believes the credit should be spread throughout the squad. "We had a lot of really good performances today and that is reflected in the score line. At times we were unplayable. We try and press and do things quickly and when we do that we are very hard to play against."
