Murphy signs Bathgate Thistle deal

Goalkeeper Andrew Murphy, who was released by Livingston after ten years at the club, has signed for Junior side Bathgate Thistle.

The 18-year-old shot-stopper, who had been involved with the West Lothian outfit since he was eight, did not make a single appearance for the first-team, although he had been on the bench for the Lions on numerous occasions. The youngster was more successful in the youth teams, where he picked up two League winners medals for the club's Under-19 side before leaving at the end of last season.
