Recently retired former Dumbarton skipper Paul Nugent has not ruled out making a comeback in the future.
The 29-year-old defender was one of nine players to leave Dumbarton days after the club clinched promotion to the First Division. He received several offers from other clubs but turned them all down to take a break from football. Nugent has decided to concentrate on work and study commitments but has not shut the door on a return to the game. "I decided probably at the start of last year. I never really had the commitment this year and I think at times I was almost putting myself out," said Nugent. "I'm now going to take the game out of my life for a while and see if I miss it."
