Sons snap up Turner
Scottish Division 1,
Dumbarton have completed their summer spending with the signing of midfielder Chris Turner form League of Ireland side Shamrock Rovers.
The Northern Ireland under-21 international has been looking to switch to Scotland all summer, after his young family recently moved back to the country, and has been allowed to leave the Tallaght Stadium two months before the end of his contract. The Sons are currently light in the middle of the park following the injury to Kevin Nicol and chief executive Gilbert Lawrie is expecting Turner to make an immediate impact. "We are delighted to have this deal done as we are getting a very experienced player who is well up to speed having played for almost an entire season," he said. "He will add a lot of steel to our midfield and is a very welcome addition."
