Albion set for first warm-up

Albion Rovers will begin their pre-season programme when they take on First Division Morton on Saturday.

Todd Lumsden's outfit will get a closer look at their Ramsdens Challenge Cup first-round opponents when they face off at St Andrew's High School at 2pm. Lumsden says he is happy with the condition of the players who reported back for pre-season training last week and confirmed he is continuing to look for new players to enhance the squad. Following the Morton friendly, Albion will take on a Falkirk XI at Airdrie's Excelsior Stadium on July 12. They will also meet Dumbarton, Rangers and St Anthony's Juniors ahead of their first league fixture of the season on August 11.
