Airdrie chairman Jim Ballantyne believes Tony Watt's sparkling Celtic debut was evidence of his own club's thriving youth system.

The 18-year-old scored twice in three remarkable second-half minutes on his first appearance for Celtic against Motherwell at Fir Park last weekend and is in line to face Rangers in the Old Firm derby on Sunday.
Watt joined Celtic from Airdrie for £100,000 in January 2011 and Ballantyne was pleased to see the club's hard work bear fruit.
"Everyone at Airdrie is absolutely delighted for Tony. We saw he had ability and his story is the best advertisement for the youth programme we have at the club," he said.
"Celtic are happy, Tony Watt is happy and we're happy with how things have turned out. It's a win-win situation - and you don't get many of those in football."
