Brechin defender blow
Scottish Division 2,
Brechin City full-back David McClune will miss the remainder of the season through injury after undergoing an operation on Friday.
The defender underwent surgery in a bid to cure the groin problem that has blighted his first season at Glebe Park, in which he has made 28 appearances for the club. The 29-year-old former St. Johnstone, Forfar and Alloa defender has been absent since the middle of February, with manager Jim Weir saying, "It would be fair to say that we have missed David as he is a very experienced player. "He may feature again this season if we can turn things around and make the promotion play-offs."
