Brechin's McManus to miss remainder of season
Scottish Division 2,
Last updated:
Brechin City top goalscorer Paul McManus will miss the final two games of the campaign with a knee injury.
McManus suffered cartilage damage in March and his attempted comeback against Airdrie United only aggravated the problem which will now keep him out of the final run-in in the Scottish Second Division. Brechin are just four points above ninth-placed Forfar and could still go into a relegation play-off if results don't go their way in the last two games. The Glebe Park club must steer themselves away from the bottom without their 15-goal hit-man McManus as they host league leaders Cowdenbeath before travelling to third-placed Dumbarton on the final day.
