Midfielder Paul Currie has joined Second Division Arbroath after turning down a return to Berwick Rangers.
The 26-year-old was with the Borderers for three seasons before moving to Hamilton for a fee in the region of £10,000 last August.
Currie netted twice in 10 games for the Accies but was released five months later and spent the latter part of last season at Musselburgh Juniors, with UEFA rules dictating players can only play for two senior clubs in the same season.
Currie joined Paul Sheerin's side for pre-season training last week and the Gayfield boss has convinced him to put pen to paper with the Red Lichties despite Berwick's offer.
