Promotion-chasing Dumbarton have been hit with the news that on-loan St Mirren winger Mark Lamont will miss the rest of the season.
The 22-year-old has made 12 appearances for the Sons since moving to the club in January but has struggled with an Achilles injury he picked up in March. Lamont returned to action earlier this month in the draw at Albion but has suffered a recurrence of the problem and will now miss Alan Adamson's side's remaining matches. "Mark has been out since the beginning of March and came back in as a substitute in a game against Albion Rovers, however he has been in discomfort since," Adamson said. "Unfortunately he will not feature in our last two games or the play-offs if we make them."
