Johnston praise for Gibson

Queen of the South boss Allan Johnston believes Willie Gibson is the man to guide his hometown club back to the First Division.

The 27-year-old midfielder, who spent the second half of last season at Falkirk, has signed a 12-month deal at Palmerston, where he previously made 107 appearances before joining Kilmarnock in 2007.
Johnston said: "We are absolutely delighted to have signed someone with Willie's skill and experience. His knowledge of the game will be vital in our goal to return to the First Division."
