MacDonald seals Diamonds deal

Airdrie United defender Cameron MacDonald has signed a new one-year deal with the club.

MacDonald joined the Diamonds from Livingston in January and has impressed manager Jimmy Boyle enough to earn an extended contract at New Broomfield.
MacDonald, who was sent off during his trial period at Airdrie, has made 10 appearances for the club and Boyle says he is pleased the 22-year-old is staying for the 2012-13 campaign.
He said: "I am delighted that we have fixed up Cameron for another year. He has shown during his short time here that he is a very solid defender."
Airdrie go into today's final Scottish Division One fixture in fourth and must match or better Stenhousemuir's result to cement their place in the play-offs.
