Paul Martin praised Albion's battling qualities after they sealed their place in the play-off final with a dramatic win over Elgin.
Scott Chaplain's 90th-minute overhead kick sealed a 2-1 aggregate victory for Albion and kept their hopes of staying in the Second Division alive. Elgin led 1-0 from the first leg but must now face up to another season in the fourth tier.
Martin admitted he thought his side had blown their opportunity to stay afloat.
"We had a chance at Forfar a couple of weeks ago to secure safety. We felt really confident there but disintegrated and did the same against Stirling Albion last week," said the Albion boss.
"But the players have deserved it over the season. The manner of the winning goal was harsh on Elgin but my guys earned it through their efforts."
Albion will face Stranraer in the play-off final.
