Mbu grateful for second chance
Scottish Division 2,
Cowdenbeath centre-back Joe Mbu feels he has a point to prove on the club's return to the First Division.
Mbu missed the majority of the Blue Brazil's relegation campaign last year with injury problems but played a key role in Cowdenbeath's title triumph this term. "To bring the league trophy to Cowdenbeath is brilliant. The club haven't won many in its history so it's very special," said the 30-year-old. The Cameroonian defender is ready to hit the ground running when the new season begins in August. "I missed a lot of last season through injury and played something like 10 games. I had problems with a knee then problems with my stomach," added Mbu. "The chance to go back up to the First Division and show what I can do was a big incentive this season."
