Ewen McNeil has thanked Airdrie boss Jimmy Boyle for giving him the chance to play during his loan spell from Rangers.

The 18-year-old was sent out to New Broomfield in order to get vital experience and has excelled for the side, helping them to qualify for the play-off final, in which they eventually fell to Dumbarton.
His performances have led to predictions that he could be given a chance break into the Ibrox first-team next year and the youngster has now thanked Diamonds' boss Boyle for giving him the opportunity to show what he can do.
"I've loved coming to Airdrie to play and get my name out there," he said. "Jimmy Boyle's given me the chance to play first team games which is great at the age of 18 and I've loved every minute of it."
