Meade lauds former Albion boss

Albion chairman Frank Meade has hailed outgoing gaffer Paul Martin as the best manager the club has ever had.
Martin resigned on health grounds after guiding Rovers to Second Division survival with a dramatic play-off victory over Stranraer last weekend. The shoot-out win proved to be a fitting end to an impressive tenure at Cliftonhill. The 47-year-old became the first boss in the club's 130-year history to lead Albion to promotion then survival the following season. Martin will be replaced by his assistant Todd Lumsden. "I would say Paul is the best manager this club has ever had. I can't pay him any better tribute than that," said Meade. "Winning promotion then staying in the Second Division is fantastic. The players have never let us down and they can be proud of what they've achieved."
