Nicol agrees Sons deal

Kevin Nicol will remain at Dumbarton next season after agreeing a contract extension with the promoted club.

The 25-year-old midfielder's contract was due to expire but the club have decided to keep him for their Division One campaign and manager Alan Adamson is pleased to have tied down the Sons star player, who joined Dumbarton from January last summer, for another year.
He said: "I knew Kevin was a hard working player when I brought him in but his work rate is even higher than I expected.
"He was great for us last season in breaking up our opponents play and allowing our creative players to shine.
"I am delighted he has signed on again."
The Sons achieved promotion to the Scottish First Division after beating Airdrie United 6-2 on aggregate in the play-offs.
