Roberts aims to please fans

New Ayr boss Mark Roberts will urge his side to play football as they bid to return to the First Division at the first time of asking.

Roberts will look to add attacking talent to his relegated squad this summer and already has his sights set on the Second Division title next term. "I know exactly how I want us to play football and I'll bring in guys who can do it," said the Ayr chief. "I'm in talks with one guy who has played at a very good level and would be a fantastic signing for us. He's the kind of guy who loves to take people on and would greatly excite our fans." He added: "There's no reason in my mind why we can't win this league, so I can assure everyone we'll be trying to do it."
