Cowdenbeath midfielder Jon Robertson has been voted by his peers as the Scottish Second Division players' player of the year.
The 23-year-old has been instrumental this season as the Blue Brazil have romped to the title, finishing eight points clear of their closest rivals Arbroath. After coming though the ranks at Central Park, Robertson has established himself in the side over the last few years and his performances have understandably attracted interest from a number of clubs from higher divisions, leading to SPL team St Mirren signing him up for next season. Robertson's rivals for the award were Airdrie United's Ryan Donnelly, Steven Doris of Arbroath and Ryan Wallace of East Fife but the playmaker was the unanimous choice and will now head to St Mirren Park full of confidence after a breathtaking season.
