Stirling close to the drop
Scottish Division 2,
Last updated:
Stirling Albion's hopes of remaining in the Scottish Second Division hang by a thread after they lost to promotion-chasers East Fife.
The 1-0 defeat now means that Greig McDonald's side are now five points adrift of Forfar Athletic, with just two games to go, meaning they will have to win both their remaining games to have any chance of staying up. One positive was that Forfar also lost at the weekend, though they have an easier game next weekend when they play third from bottom Albion, while Stirling host play-off chasing Dumbarton.
