Third Division champions Alloa have begun preparations for life in the third tier with the signing of David Cox from Annan.
Cox began his career with Kilmarnock in the SPL before moving to Montrose in 2009. Like at Killie, the striker found opportunities hard to come by at Montrose and moved to Third Division Annan. He hit 17 goals in 104 appearances for the club. "David has always caught the eye when playing against us. He will give us a different type of threat up front, and I look forward to him joining up with the rest of the players at the start of our pre-season training programme," said Alloa boss Paul Hartley. Hartley has also re-signed goalkeeper Craig McDowall on a new one-year deal.
