Hartley pleased with 'hungry' players

Alloa boss Paul Hartley has praised his side's continued hunger following their promotion to the Scottish Second Division.

The Wasps sealed promotion earlier this month and despite recently losing at Berwick Rangers, have continued to produce some impressive performances. Hartley's men beat Stenhousemuir 3-1 on Saturday and the former Scotland international believes the fact that they bounced back so strongly shows that his side are still hungry to impress, despite already winning promotion. "Last week was most unlike us but throughout the season the players have been absolutely magnificent," Hartley said. "This game again just shows how good a team we are and proves that we are still hungry even though we have won the league."
