Elgin boss Ross Jack has described his side's last minute play-off defeat to Albion Rovers on Saturday as 'soul destroying'.

City went into the match holding a 1-0 advantage after winning the first leg at home but John Gemill's deflected 89th minute strike gave Rovers a 2-0 win to seal their place in the Scottish Second division play-off final against Stranraer at the Black and Whites' expense. Prior to the goal, Jack's men were dominating possession and the former Everton player has admitted that he and his team are heartbroken by the manner of their defeat. "The way we went out was soul destroying," he said. "They will never score two more fluky goals. "It was so, so disheartening. We controlled the first half and were never in any danger but they just hit the ball even longer in the second half and put us under pressure," he added.
