Former Motherwell defender Michael Lynch is training with Clyde ahead of a possible move.

The left-back has been the subject of interest from a host of Scottish clubs including Arbroath and East Stirling following his release from Fir Park at the end of last season. Clyde are now favourites to secure his services for the upcoming campaign with the youngster joining the first-team squad in training. The Broadwood club have lost Brian McQueen to injury and Declan Gallacher has joined Dundee, so Lynch is being looked at as a potential back-up player for Jim Duffy's side. The start of the 2012-13 season is just over two weeks away with Clyde set to face Partick Thistle in the Ramsdens Cup on July 28.
