Queen's Park boss Gardner Speirs believes his side are in a strong position going into the play-offs after beating Stranraer 3-2.

The win is the Spiders' fourth of the season over Stranraer and the two sides are set to meet again in the play-offs in less than a fortnight. The Hampden Park club have been knocked out at the semi-final stage of the play-offs two years in a row, but Spiers is optimistic about the club's prospects of promotion this time around. He said: "Prior to this season, people kept saying it was 10 years since we'd beaten Stranraer. "I'm pleased we are going in to the play-offs with those four wins as opposed to that record stretching out to 11 years. "We feel momentum is important. It's the confidence as much as anything. I'm sure every team involved in the play-offs from whatever division will be fired up and desperate to do well." Queen's Park host fellow play-off contenders Elgin on the final day of the season before preparing for their final promotion push.
