Queen's Park confirm Strain exit

Queen's Park have confirmed that goalkeeper Adam Strain has left the club to join junior side Beith.

After making 30 appearances during his first year at Hampden, the stopper found himself behind Neil Parry last year, playing just twice. The lack of match action made him reassess his options and he has now moved down into the junior ranks to ensure he gets regular football. Spiders boss Gardner Speirs has expressed his regret at the news but says he understands the player's reasons for leaving the club. "We would have liked Adam to stay on but we understand his desire to play weekly," Speirs said. "We wish him well at his new club."
