Queen's Park boss Gardner Speirs praised his side's character after they bounced back from last week's defeat to book a play-off spot.
Queen's were out of sorts in their surprise 3-1 defeat at Montrose and still required a point to guarantee a top-four finish going into their clash at home to Annan.
Goals in either half from Jamie Longworth and Ian Watt cemented second spot with only two games remaining and gave the Spiders renewed belief going into the play-offs.
"We played well in spells. Two smashing goals, good moves and we kept the ball well," Speirs said.
"I'm pleased with all the guys because we had a below par performance last week and it was important we made up for that."
Queen's are searching for a return to the Second Division for the first time since 2009.
