Stranraer confirm Mitchell stay
Scottish Division 3,
Highly-rated Stranraer goalkeeper David Mitchell has signed a new deal to keep him with the club for a third season.
The 22-year-old has made almost 100 appearances for the Blues since arriving from Ayr and his impressive displays have understandably attracted interest from a number of sides from higher divisions. However, he has now agreed a new deal to keep him at Stair Park until next summer and manager Keith Knox says he is looking forward to continuing to aid in the player's development. "David has been great for us and it is no surprise that his form was picked up on by other clubs," Knox said. "He is still young for a goalkeeper and I look forward to seeing him develop further with Stranraer."
