Alloa skipper Darren Young was delighted to finally get his hands on a winner's medal and predicted big things of his side next season.

The 33-year-old captained the Wasps to the Third Division title this season and revelled in Saturday's trophy presentation. "This is my first winner's medal, the rest are all runners-up medals from cup finals - which I always ended up losing to Celtic, I think - so it's good to finally get my hands on a winner's medal," said the former Aberdeen and Dunfermline midfielder. Young accepted expectations would be high next term after an exceptional season but believes Alloa can live up to the hype. "I definitely think this team could do something in the Second Division. There's not that much of a difference between the Second and Third, to be honest," he added. "It's just a case of keeping it going from what we've done this year. We definitely want to be challenging anyway."
