Jason Crooks says he is delighted to have joined Albion Rovers after training with the club last season.
Crooks, 23, moved to Albion from Elgin this summer but already knew a number of the players after training at Cliftonhill throughout last season. The striker, who lives in Glasgow, used the club to gain fitness without having to make the four-hour trip to Elgin. "With Elgin being so far away, the boys from the central belt all train with other teams through the week due to the journey involved," he told the Scottish Sun. "Most of them train with junior teams but I spent last season with Rovers. "I enjoyed working with them and getting to know all the boys and the manager asked me if I wanted to join during the summer. "I didn't really need any time to settle because I knew a lot of the boys already from training. "At times last season it felt like I was doing everything apart from playing on a Saturday with Albion Rovers. So when I came in during pre-season, I already knew a lot of the lads although there has still been changes."
