Airdrie striker Paul Di Giacomo believes the newco Rangers will have no problem in the Third Division should they keep Lee McCulloch.
Di Giacomo featured against the fallen Old Firm giants at Murray Park last week in their first game since the oldco's liquidation.
The Ibrox side, now a division below Airdrie, recorded a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Lee Wallace and youngster Lewis McLeod.
Di Giacomo saw enough to suggest Rangers should run away with the Third Division title.
"The main man is big Lee McCulloch up front. If Rangers hold on to him, they won't have a problem. He's a leader on the pitch and made the game look easy at times. He's a real handful and he'll be key for Rangers," he said.
"If they keep him and the other international boys, I can see them getting out of the Third Division comfortably."
