Stranraer boss Keith Knox has praised former Rangers striker Max Wright after a deal to sign the 20-year-old finally materialised.

Wright joined the Blues in pre-season from Alloa and featured regularly. However, the club were unable to offer him a contract until they reassessed their budget following their late promotion to Division Two. Wright has now signed a modest deal, with Knox hailing his patience and professionalism throughout the saga. "Max has continued to train with us despite all this uncertainty and missing out on some games. He has accepted an offer that is not that great for him financially, but remains determined to do his best for us and I cannot praise him highly enough for his desire to succeed as footballer," said the Stranraer manager.
