Former Hearts striker Kevin Kyle and retired midfielder Robbie Savage are eyeing sensational comebacks with Rangers.
Both players missed the whole of the last campaign - with Kyle hampered by an ongoing hip problem and Savage hanging his boots up after leaving Derby County. However, the pair have put their hands up to play for the Rangers newco in the Third Division. Kyle, 31, is currently training with SPL outfit St Johnstone but said: "I've asked my physio if he could get an agent pal to speak to Rangers for me. "I wouldn't cost the earth and, at the same time, Ally McCoist would know what he is getting." Savage went a step further, saying he would play for free. "If they are desperate for players, I'll play for nothing! You think I'm joking, I'm serious. I've sent a text to Charles Green to ask Ally if he needs any help," the 37-year-old tweeted.
