McCoist aims to stay at the top
Scottish Division 3,
Ally McCoist says Rangers aim is to stay top of the Third Division following their 2-0 win over Queen's Park on Saturday.
Two goals from captain Lee McCulloch helped McCoist's side win the Glasgow derby at Ibrox and move Rangers above the Spiders at the top of Division Three.
"We obviously wanted to get to the top of the league this afternoon and to have a chance to do that we knew we would have to win," McCoist told the club's official website.
"The game itself was extremely hard fought but I thought we deserved three points."
The Gers boss admits he was not completely convinced by his side's performance but is happy enough to take pole position.
"There was then a bit of relief at the end when we scored our second because for 10 minutes in the second half I felt we lost our way.
"We let their midfield get back on top of us and without doubt we defended a bit to deep.
"But in the end we got the three points we were after and our aim now is to stay at the top of the division."
