Assistant boss Kenny McDowall insists Rangers are 'under no illusions' about the Scottish Third Division.
Rangers are widely expected to win the Division comfortably following their demotion from the SPL, but McDowell says they will not become complacent.
Ally McCoist's right-hand man is aware the club need to bring in, or keep hold of, quality players and says they cannot rely on youngsters.
"We're under no illusions that we can go out with a youth team and win the Third Division," he told the Daily Record. "We've got to respect the teams in the league and we understand it won't be easy.
"We got a taste of that against Brechin last weekend so we must get a balance.
"We're hoping we can get promotion and then go again the next year. With that in mind, the players we're bringing in need to do the double dunt.
"Things might not be what we're used to but we are where we are and must adapt."
