Scunthorpe's on-loan winger Conor McAleny is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Everton team-mate Shane Duffy, currently in the first team at Goodison Park.
Everton teenager McAleny has made three appearances for the Iron since arriving on loan at the end of last month, while defender Duffy is now back at Goodison after spending the first half of the season on loan at Glanford Park.
When asked what convinced him to join Scunthorpe, McAleny told the Iron's official website: "Shane Duffy. I play with him every day and I've seen how well it worked out for him. This is a great club for young players to go on loan, so I was happy to come.
"I'd love to do that. I've just got to get my head down here, hopefully do well and see what happens.
"It's been good. I like it here. All the lads seem decent lads and I've settled in ok."
