Scunthorpe boss Alan Knill has confirmed that French trialist Yamadou Camara has left the club.
The 24-year-old took part in the Iron's pre-season preparations and was handed a start in their friendly win over FC Halifax last weekend. But the defender was forced off in the first-half with an ankle injury and Knill has decided to end his interest in the player - for now. "Yami has got what is known as a 'French ankle', if I am honest I have no idea what that is," he told the club's official website. "But since he came here he has been struggling with it and you saw that on Saturday. So he has gone back to France to get some treatment. "We told him to go and get himself fit and then get back to us. Obviously in the meantime he may get himself fixed up over there; which is understandable."
