Iron hand Burns trial

Scunthorpe have handed a trial to teenage midfielder Ryan Burns, who is set to be released by Oldham.

The 19-year-old, from Northern Ireland, will spend an initial week at Glanford Park.
Burns featured for the Iron's reserve side on Thursday at Bradford, where they lost 2-1.
He joined Oldham as a trainee in August 2010, but has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Latics.
