Iron to make changes
Scunthorpe United, 13:29, September 15, 2009 ,
Nigel Adkins says he could change a winning side and that could see Jonathan Forte dropped to the bench against Preston.
The Scunthorpe boss was delighted with the display at the weekend as the Iron hammered Crystal Palace 4-0 at Selhurst Park but he could still make changes with Forte tipped to start on the bench.
It means, captain Cliff Byrne and top scorer Gary Hooper, who were themselves put on the bench against Palace, could return to the starting eleven.
"I'm not fearful of changing a winning team at all," Adkins said.
"We played ever so well against Middlesbrough and that same team went out at Sheffield Wednesday and got beat.
"We have to look at the big picture. There was a lot of energy expended at the weekend and we have to make sure the players who go out tonight can do a job for us."
