Keeper ready to battle
Scunthorpe United, 17:42, September 29, 2009 ,
Scunthorpe goalkeeper Josh Lillis is keen to stake a claim for a first-team place after returning from his loan spell at Grimsby.
The highly-rated 22-year-old signed a new three-year deal before joining the Mariners on loan and is now looking forward to fighting for his place at Glanford Park.
"I'm just really happy to sign the contract," he said. "It's a great feeling. It's good to have my future secured for the next few years as it gives me the platform to push on and keep getting better.
"I love it at this club. I've been a professional for three years now and it's a fantastic place to be. I've been brought up here so the club means a lot for me."
